Ramon Bilbao Rioja Crianza (2014)
Tasting Notes:
Powerful, complex nose. Smells heavily of oak and leather, with some red, jammy fruit. Hints of vanilla and cedar. Good tannins, medium-plus acidity, and flavors of oak, black pepper, and red fruits leaning towards cherry. Well-balanced, good lasting power.
Would we buy this again?
Yes. This is an excellent Rioja, and I wouldn’t hesitate to pluck it off the shelf again, especially for $14.
